A Zen story say that Nan-in, a Japanese master received a University Professor who came to inquire about Zen.
Nan-in served tea. He poured a cup full and kept on pouring over flow.
The Professor said: “It is overfull, no more will go in!” “Like this cup”, Nan-in said, “you are full of your own
opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?”
“It is not difficult to attain enlightenment, but it is difficult to keep a beginner’s mind. There are many
possibilities, but in the expert there are few.” Said Susuki Roshi.
I n all Destination HarmonySeminars and Retreats we learn and practice techniques to empty our cup from the ego to
leave room to new possibilities.
In Light & Harmony,
Fabienne.
